Cassatas (Sicilian cake or ice-cream with candied fruits) , torroni (kind of nougat), cannoli (spiced pastry cylinder stuffed with custard or ricotta) it’s impossible to resist to the beauty of Sicilian pastry, with its triumph of colours and perfumes . It’s even more difficult not to be tempted to try these wonderful desserts in which you can find all the flavours of an ancient culture. Recipes handed down untouched for centuries, a unique tradition in the world: every dessert, in Sicily, has its own story to tell, a story where legend and reality are perfectly mixed up.

Francavilla of Sicily is a good departure point for several excursions, both organized,thanks to commercial agreements we are able to offer interesting excursions at competitive fares, and free of choice excursions and excursions for free. Francavilla is also a perfect point for trekking and mountain bike excursions up to the Etna, the Peloritani and surrounding mountains.

The “Picciolo” golf club is the great protagonist of the course and the Etna, dominates every corner, giving you the chance to see the amazing lava flows . At 650 metres high, the bracing air which reduces the sun warmth, makes you forget for a while the frenzy rhythm and atmosphere of the city. The golf course is just at 6 km from the hotel.

Swimming pool The swimming pool was made at the beginning of 2006 on the hotel fourth floor and we can define it a small architecture jewel both for its location and elegance. Accessible to everyone, even to disable people, it’s endowed with a wonderful view on the whole AlcantaraValley. The swimming pool is 5 mt x 11mt and reachable with a lift or through the stairs. Services include a solarium and a bar.

Trekking The Etna sceneries, the oasis of the Alcantara river, the flora and the fauna of the park, make our valley a centre of great interest for excursionists and those who love trekking that use our hotel as a base. In 2005 we had the pleasure to host English, American, Dutch, German, Swiss and Austrian people, all interested in our area.

The hotel is endowed with three minibuses of 24 seats to make excursions in the area according to the customer’s needs, andwith the possibility to travel to any Italian destination. Services to and from the airport.
